Work Done at the Jivarajbhai Patel Agro - Forestry Centre (JAFC) It is widely believed that trees develop better if they are planted at sufficient distance from one another. The total nutrition available in the soil is constant. Hence, it is believed that if a large number of trees are planted per unit area, the trees will have inadequate nutrition and hence will not grow fast and/or tall.
